Frivolous Friday

My favorite catalog arrived this week!  I live for my new Hancock's of Paducah catalogs!  How about you?

Each new volume is chocked full of inspiration, color, with the new designer fabric of the season. Oh the possibilities! The “I could” are brimming on each page, each page as beautiful, or better, than the previous. Oh the newest batiks are here! Red and turquoise fabrics, with owls no less! I adore Michael Miller fabrics! How about lime green and blacks, I never would have looked at them a few years ago!  And just think, dreaming is FREE!

When the publication comes I savor the cover checking out the newest quilts that adorn the front before carefully gravitating to the back where I relish every attribute on the backside. I then allow myself the privilege of slowly paging through each leaf, but not at one setting. I savor the experience over an entire day sometimes reviewing where I had been before jumping with anticipation ahead.

Surely I am not alone in my addiction; surely there are others doing the same maneuvers, right???
